We have seen salmon fishing curtailed this summer across Alaska. Unless we step up now to protect our salmon streams, we could lose more fish and fishing opportunities.

 

Ballot Measure 1:

• Ensures healthy salmon streams via new standards for water quality, fish passage, and spawning and rearing habitat.

• Creates real accountability, forcing foreign mining corporations to clean-up toxic waste in vital wild salmon habitat—so Alaska won’t be left holding the bill.

• Supports balanced, sustainable development—projects that expand our economy without threatening our wild salmon runs and Alaskan way of life.

​

• Does NOT restrict outdoor access for fishing, hunting and four-wheeling in Alaska.
